Allow vs Resist

When we allow ourselves to be open, we can welcome the energy of growth and expansion. It's like an invitation to join in and connect with life. Just as we dance freely to music that speaks to us, we are present and uninhibited, embracing the rhythm of the moment. In that space, judgment fades, fear loses its grip, and our breath can draw in pure Chi without resistance. Every experience, whether joyful or challenging, becomes a teacher, guiding us through the ups and downs of being human.
The opposite of allow is to resist. It's like standing at the edge of the dance floor, arms crossed, refusing to move out of fear. The fear of making a mistake, looking a certain way, etc..Everything in life comes in pairs of opposites: light/dark, male/female, joy/sorrow, yin/yang, empty and full. Without these opposing forces, life would have no movement. As the Chinese saying goes, "No movement, No life". When we find balance, we create harmony within ourselves and in our relationships. This creates a greater union in our mind, body, and spirit. Resistance creates an inner struggle that blocks our natural flow. We can see how, being in a state of resistance, we end up keeping life at bay. And then the body begins to speak in ways that can be painful. These parts of us that are under lock and key have been programmed into habitual patterns, keeping our stories alive, and our emotional bodies contained, preventing us from living with ease and grace.
When we choose to allow, we open ourselves to so many more possibilities the Universe has in store for us:) The door to the Universe is always open! The spring energies and the new moon are here now to assist us to stay in the energy of allow. We are in a magical time of personal growth, taking action, and setting new intentions to grow & flourish. Perhaps you are the garden of your own life, and choosing to plant only things that make you smile and shine bright like the star you are!
I love the words of Zeenat Aman, “Open your heart and mind like the wings of a butterfly. See then how high you CAN fly.” Just as a butterfly opens its wings and soars, we too can rise above our fears and limitations by choosing openness over resistance. Allow yourself to dance, to breathe deeply, and to open your wings—you might be amazed at how far you can go.
Love & Blessings,
🌷Regina
